Celebrating Generosity and our Entrepreneurial Spirit
Our first winter market was a wonderful time of celebration featuring our community entrepreneurs and festive performances from all the students. The theme of "celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship" was focusing on the social aspects of having a business--articulating the person behind the passion. Our vendors made up of teachers, parents, students and school friends shared with us a variety of products such as handmade greeting cards, DIY tamale kits, hand crafted glass amulets, a variety of sweet treats and the ever popular slime. It was wonderful to experience the vision and stories behind their products.
As a community, we raised $1033 which will go to benefit Alameda County Community Food Bank. In addition to the evenings donations, we also have raised $200 in our virtual food drive as well as contributing 308 pounds of food to their annual canned food drive.
