Students at Shu Ren International School are vibrant, active participants in their own learning. They are eager to develop their individual skills and knowledge as well as utilize their education to benefit the greater community. Children at Shu Ren are encouraged and excited to use Mandarin and English to learn about other cultures, present their unique perspective, and include their friends and family in their learning. From the classroom to the playground to the various field trips around the Bay, Shu Ren students exemplify curiosity and responsibility towards themselves and others. Students are not necessarily fluent in either English or Mandarin after one, two, or even three years. However, they are determined to continue their learning and inspired by our amazing teachers and staff to mature into their true potential.
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) School, we utilize and promote the IB Learner Profiles to guide children in realizing their strengths and overcoming challenges. By encouraging our students to embody the IB learner profiles (Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-Minded, Caring, Risk-Takers, Balanced, Reflective), our students are able to take their innate strengths and combine them with the lessons and skills they will need to become engaged global citizens.
