Primary Years Programme
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is created for students ages 3 through 12 and is taught in over 109 countries worldwide. The PYP inspires students to think independently and work responsibly as they explore both the local and global landscape of today’s world. Through lessons that include individual opportunity and real-life/experiential activities, students are able to gain pride and confidence in their ability to learn over a lifetime. Students participate in structured inquiry that is influenced by the six transdisciplinary themes of global significance. By utilizing these themes students are able to develop a strong set of knowledge and skills beyond individual subject areas and can create meaningful connections within and between traditional academic subjects.
