Shu Ren 2018 Moon Viewing Party

Wednesday, September 26, 2018

The Mid-Autumn festival takes place each year on the 15th day of the 8th month on the Lunar calendar when the moon is at its fullest and is symbolic of gathering of the fall harvest.   Traditionally, it is a time of family reunions similar to American Thanksgiving. Shu Ren celebrated this special occasion together with tea and mooncakes and a special storytime by Que Laoshi who shared with us the very special folktale of Chang’E.
